Another day without a BSOD. But this morning, I saw a little squiqqly little line on the screen. It looked like a hair. In fact, it looked like one of mine. Bear in mind that I don't have very many hairs to spare, so I'm rather sensitive to the sight of one sitting somewhere it isn't supposed to be. But when I brushed the screen ever so lightly with my finger, the hair didn't come off. "Must be a lot of static," I thought to myself, but I rubbed it a little harder and it still didn't come off. In fact, it didn't move. It didn't smear, either. I just stayed there, exactly as it was. It's not a hair. It's a hairline crack.
I'm already planning on getting a new laptop, but the question is: will this crack grow to the point that I can't pass the old laptop down to my daughter? Time will tell, I guess.
