Lotusphere attendance was not announced. It is clearly up, but it didn't quite seem as crowded this year as in the highest peak years. It's hard to say though, because I think that IBM has learned how manage traffic better -- with the exception of a big pile-up in the Southern foyer on Monday afternoon. Anyhow, here's a data point: the Hemisphere ballroom at the Dolphin has capacity of 6,831 in its fully opened up "theater" configuration. The split general session would not have been necessary if attendance had been below that number.
The other number not heard, at least by me, was a new Notes/Domino license count. Over the years, even though IBM has been good about reminding us that seat counts are notoriously inaccurate, subject to manipulation, and more or less meaningless... they usually gave us a number anyhow. This year, as far as I know, they didn't. To me, that is a reflection of increasing confidence at IBM. They don't feel the need to reassure the faithful with a number.
